Welcome to Canine Cabins, a dog boarding kennel and grooming salon serving the Greater Pittsburgh area. By using our website and services, you agree to the following Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of Terms

By booking a boarding stay, daycare service, grooming service, or any other service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

SMS Consent Communication

The information (Phone Numbers) obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Types of SMS Communications

If you have consented to receive text messages from Canine Cabins, you may receive messages related to customer care such as:

  • Appointment reminders

  • Follow-up messages

  • Billing inquiries

  • Customer Care

Example: "Hi Janet, it's Abbie at Canine Cabins. We do have an appointment at 12:15 on Tuesday can you tell me a bit more about what kind of haircut you need for Spot? Reply STOP to opt-out of SMS messaging."

Message Frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on the type of communication. For example, you may receive up to 10 SMS messages per week related to your grooming appointment or boarding reservation.

Potential Fees for SMS Messaging

Please note that standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier’s pricing plan. These fees may vary if the message is sent domestically or internationally.

You may opt-in to receive SMS messages from Canine Cabins:

Opt-Out Method

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time. To do so, simply reply "STOP" to any SMS message you receive. Alternatively, you can contact us directly (412-627-6953) to request removal from our messaging list.

Additional Options

If you do not wish to receive SMS messages, you can choose not to check the SMS consent box on our forms.

Standard Messaging Disclosures

Dog Boarding & Daycare Requirements

   •   All dogs must be current on vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella) and proof must be provided before boarding.

   •   Dogs must be free of contagious illnesses and on a flea/tick prevention program.

   •   Dogs must be non-aggressive and socialized to ensure safety for staff and other pets.

   •   Owners must complete a boarding agreement and emergency contact form before the first stay.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Policies

   •   Dogs must be dropped off and picked up during business hours unless otherwise arranged.

   •   Late pick-ups may be subject to additional fees.

   •   If a dog is left beyond the scheduled pickup time without contact, we reserve the right to continue to board the dog with payment in full for any additional nights. 

Payment & Cancellation Policy

   •   Deposits: A deposit may be required for peak boarding seasons.

   •   Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 14 days before the scheduled stay to avoid fees.

   •   Late Payments: Payment is due upon pickup. Unpaid balances may incur late fees.

Medical Emergencies

   •   In the event of a medical emergency, we will attempt to contact the owner first. If unreachable, we will seek veterinary care as needed.

   •   Owners are responsible for any veterinary costs incurred during their dog’s stay.

Liability Waiver

   •   We will take every precaution to keep your dog safe. However, we are not liable for injury, illness, or loss due to natural causes, playgroup interaction, or unforeseen incidents.

   •   The owner acknowledges that there are inherent risks associated with dog boarding and accepts responsibility for their pet’s well-being.

Personal Belongings

   •   While we allow personal items (beds, toys, etc.), we are not responsible for lost or damaged belongings.

Grooming & Bathing

   •   If a dog requires emergency grooming (e.g., severe matting or hygiene issues), we reserve the right to groom them at the owner’s expense.

Right to Refuse Service

   •   We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog displaying aggressive behavior or any owner who does not comply with our policies.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Allegheny County, PA. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Allegheny County.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as needed. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the new Terms.
